Workplace Health Promotion and Coaching
Gainful employment enables participation in society and offers numerous resources and development opportunities. However, there are also workloads in organizations that make people ill, such as unsuitable requirements, constant accessibility, lack of scope for decision-making and action, social conflicts in the team or non-transparent change processes. Every employer in Germany is required by law to examine the workloads of employees with a so-called risk assessment. Employers must not only elicit the stresses, they must also plan and implement measures and check their effectiveness.
We deal with factors and interventions that enable healthy work and promote the maintenance of health, such as healthy leadership and health-promoting leadership training, healthy teamwork and health-promoting team development, and coaching to promote work-life balance. Due to the socially unequal distribution of health opportunities, we also research employees in atypical employment relationships and company owners and employees in small and very small companies. Gender- and culturally-sensitive concepts play a special role.
