Abstract
Adults, and even half-a-year-olds, appear to automatically take the perspective of others. Controversially, in infant studies ostensive-communicative cues seem to be necessary for attention direction and level-1-perspective taking. Eye-tracking experiments with 8 and 14 months old infants and three-years-olds were realized to compare the effects of different cues and find the ontogenetic emergence of automatic perspective taking.
