Wir heißen Jordan herzlich willkommen und freuen uns auf die zukünftige Zusammenarbeit!
"I was born and raised in Birmingham, UK, where I completed my BSc in Psychology in 2018. My interest in computational modeling began during the summer between my BSc and MSc in Computational Neuroscience & Cognitive Robotics at the University of Birmingham, when I taught myself to code. The idea that a computer can simulate the intricacies of human behavior is rather fascinating to me.
I continued my academic journey at Birmingham, pursuing a PhD focused on applying computational models of the Eriksen Flanker Task to data from atypical flanker stimuli, specifically random dot kinematograms. During this time, I also began learning German and developed a love for Hamburg, which I am thrilled to now call home.
In Hamburg, I collaborate with Maryam Tohidi-Moghaddam on a project exploring how humans search for information when making decisions about options characterized by multiple attributes. We are working on a computational model to predict choice and fixation patterns during these decisions. Our goal is to validate the model and further investigate the decision-making process using a variety of techniques, including fMRI, EEG, and eye tracking."
