New publication!

We are happy to share our new publication led by Kai Härpfer in *Depression and Anxiety*, focusing on the neural correlates of performance monitoring in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders! In our research involving 156 participants with OCD, social anxiety, and specific phobia, we found no significant ERP differences among the clinical groups. However, our findings revealed that both clinical status across these groups and family risk for internalizing disorders were linked to heightened ERN amplitudes. We also replicated a relationship between anxious apprehension and increased performance monitoring in women. Our findings suggest that altered error monitoring may serve as a transdiagnostic risk marker for internalizing psychopathology.
