Information about Two-Factor Authentication
Since August 21, 2023, the introduction of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) has been announced at the university. However, a specific implementation date is currently not yet determined.
Based on the current state of knowledge, an additional device (such as a smartphone) is not required. The available laptop or computer can be used. In most cases within the Psychology department, these devices are considered Self-Managed Devices and can be prepared for 2FA using the step-by-step guide provided.
For the initial activation of 2FA, the university will send you a PIN list to your private address. Using this list, you can then register one of your service devices to be used as the second factor.
