Applicants who obtained their university entrance qualification outside of Germany must submit proof that their foreign certificate has been recognized. The recognition must include an official conversion of your grade. You can apply to have your certificate recognized free of charge in the application portal of the University of Hamburg. Please enter the converted grade into the online application. We recommend submitting the recognition application well in advance of your application (master’s program application period: May 1st to June 15th.
