Research In the area of clinical neuroscience, we investigate changes in neuronal processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of mental disorders, with a focus on anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders. We are particularly interested in neuronal risk factors that promote the development of symptoms and disorders.

1. The research is focused on three main areas:
   experimental psychopathology to study the mechanisms contributing to vulnerability, development and maintenance of mental disorders
2. Investigation of the predictive validity of neuronal risk factors for symptom development and therapeutic success
3. Development and adaptation of interventions based on neuroscientific findings.

Methods used: event-related potentials and oscillations in the EEG, startle reflex, skin conductance, neuropsychological measurements and behavioural data
