Mission Statement
The Department of Clinical Neuroscience studies changes in neural processes that are involved in the development and maintenance of mental disorders. A particular focus is on neural mechanisms contributing to vulnerability and increased risk for the development of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders. Methodically, the focus is on event-related brain potentials and oscillations in the electroencephalogram (EEG). In addition, further psychophysiological methods (e.g. startle reflex, skin conductance), neuropsychological tests and behavioral data are studied.
