- Differential lifespan development as well as conditions and processes of personality development from late childhood to old age
- Interplay of personality development and the successful mastery of educational transitions as well as the general adaptation to and development in educational contexts
- Social relationships and relationship regulation across the lifespan
- Methodological challenges, such as intra- versus inter-individual differences and change, modeling developmental trajectories
