Welcome to the Department of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Hamburg!
How we behave and feel at work is strongly influenced by other people's behaviors and attitudes, by the work context and situations we find ourselves in, and by timing. From this social embeddedness perspective of organizational behavior, we study temporal team processes, leader-follower dynamics, and employee wellbeing in organizations.
We place a strong emphasis on generating scientific insights that are meaningful for organizational practice.
