Welcome to the TeamLab website!
Every day we depend on the cooperation with colleagues, superiors, fellow students or other cooperation partners. The resulting interaction processes are decisive for the success of our collaboration, but also for our well-being and our individual work attitudes.
In the TeamLab of the Department of Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of Hamburg, we investigate precisely these interaction processes in teams. With the help of systematic behavioral observation, we uncover recurring interaction patterns and team dynamics. Our technical equipment allows us to analyze even the smallest nonverbal and verbal behaviors. This helps us to explore, among other things, whether humor enhances team performance, who in the team takes on a leadership role, and whether empathy helps to develop creative solutions.
