Mission Statement
The team of Industrial and Organizational Psychology is concerned with the experience, behavior and health-related well-being of individuals and teams in organizations.
The focus of our research is on dynamic interaction processes at work. Our behavior and experience at work is significantly shaped by the social context. At the same time, each individual employee influences others through their own behavior. From this perspective, we explore how dynamic team processes and interactions between managers and employees unfold and develop over time. A particular focus is on meetings as a central interaction setting in organizations as well as on video- and software-based quantitative interaction analysis and pattern recognition.
In a further research focus on workplace health promotion, we are concerned with health-promoting working conditions and interventions for individuals, teams and managers. This includes risk assessments of mental stress in different work contexts and interventions to promote mental health, such as coaching and team development.
